Searched high and low and see many people looking for something similar but no results of a solution.
Wondering if ffmpeg_noise can be altered in any way to plot/graph noise or at least give a value in dB.
Being able to set automation for if value was above 80dB for a period of 10 minutes after 11pm, then send push notification or something.
I currently use Minut devices which are subscription based at $10 a month for the basic and have 5 of them in different AirBNB’s. Over the last year, I’ve only had to check the noise level twice on one of the devices, so as you can imagine, the cost isn’t worth it.
Happy to contirube $100 to whom ever can get this working in a very affordable way.
I’ve seen ESP projects to do something similar but they all require physically building a device & tweaking it manually using a screw driver to tune it.
Using RTSP audio seems like the most valuable way to use existing resources
