Hello,
Ist there anybody who solved this issue?
Thanx
-Mike

What is the issue, I have 4 fgms001 motion sensors, all with firmware 3.2.

No issues whatsoever, working as normal for more than 5 years now, showing motion, illuminance, temperature, etc.

Main difference with you : my firmware is 2.6

Ok, update your firmware.

You’ll need a Fibaro HCx, or use an update service (I live in the Netherlands, we have here a domotica shop that also updates firmware on request)

I was wondering if the only update option was through the fibaro home center?
Is there another option available as here in france not sure there is such a shop ?

No, helas, only option is through Fibaro.

I started my domotica with fibaro (and had a lot of fibaro sensors and switches) before moving to HA. But because Fibaro doesn’t have the possibility to upgrade firmware except with a HCx, I never will buy Fibaro stuff anymore.

I might consider acquiring a second hand one, if price is right.
Are they all the same?
Home center lite vs home center 2 or… Are they all capable to provide firmware update feed?
And is it an ota update? Where do you get the firmware container ?

I’m not 100% sure, but think you need a HC2, not a lite.
Firmware is ota from the HC2 to the device.

The HC2 notices the firmware update possibility, downloads the firmware and installs it. It’s all done by the HC2 (at least, that’s how I have done it in the past, and the reason I kept my old HC2).

Update is a pain however. You have to exclude the device from your HA-zwave network, include it into the HC2 ZWave network , update, exclude it from the HC2 and include it again in the HA network, make sure that all entities get the original names.
