I’ve got a wired PIR - motion sensor that connects to the Fibaro Dimmer 2 from SX to S1. I’ve set Parameter 20 of the dimmer to “Toggle”. But I seem to get no response from the dimmer when S1 is toggled.
I’ve read the voltage to S1 to be 240V when the motion sensor is on. And I can turn on/off the dimmer via HA. So I know that part works.
What am I missing? The dimmer should be able to work with a toggle switch, right?
Now, I’ve switched out the dimmer with another one. Just to see if one is broken. But same result.
I have tried to connect a fibaro FGS-223 device to a switch which has a night light inside when the switch is off. This didn’t work, I think because it is essential that the switch does really not have some small current when it is off. So when I removed the night light led it worked.
It could be that you see the same problem. I think that the PIR sensor has a small current even when off so that the fibaro device does not detect the difference between on and off.
So my conclusion is that you cannot connect a PIR sensor directly instead of a switch because it always draws some small current which is not supported by fibaro devices.
Hey Roman, Oh! That’s a great hint. I’ll check the current tomorrow. I’ve got a bypass. Would you, or anyone, know if a LED bypass would work on both terminals?
