Fibaro FGR-222: how to use position for covers?

I successfully set up my covers to work with Figaro FGR-222. Although there the possibility to set the position within HA, whenever I change anything, my covers only fully open or close. So a value of 50 percent is initiating a full open or full closed state.

How can I teach HA to understand positions and being able to set positions?

Thx in advance!

I do not have any FGR-222, so maybe I am wrong:

You have to do a POSITIONING CALIBRATION, it is explained in the manual. There are 5 ways to do it.

Yes I was about to post it here since I have found the solution and it works great:

C. Calibration through the switch keys

  1. Make sure the module is connected to the power supply, according to Fig.1, and to the switch keys as well (S1 and S2 inputs).
  2. Include the module into the Z-Wave network, according to section VI of instructions.
  3. Press and hold the switch key connected to S1 or S2 input terminal and release it after at least 3 seconds.
  4. Press and hold the same switch key again, and release it after 3 seconds.
  5. Now press and hold the same button, for 3 seconds, for the 3rd time.
  6. After pressing and releasing the button for the third time, automatic calibration sequence will start.
  7. Roller Shutter performs the calibration process, completing full cycle - up, down and up again.

Thanks, this solved my issue in 2023!

For those who it might help. I have the Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 which did not work properly on Z-Wave JS. One way communication and no levels. Just performing this procedure solved it.
