Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 can't be added

I’m having trouble adding a Fibaro Roller Shutter 3 to my Zwave network in Home Assistant. For some reason I can’t get it to connect, either with triple switching the S1 button or using the B button three times.

I’m using Home Assistant 2021.12.7 on a ODROID-N2+ / 4GB. I have a Z-Wave USB Stick from Z-Wave.Me running Firmware 5.5 without any problems. One of the devices connected is a Fibaro Roller Shutter 2.

I used the Zwave JS addon in Home Assistant (Driver Version: 8.9.2, Server Version: 1.14.0) to add the new roller shutter both insecure or secure as possible, but it doesn’t show up.

First I thought it was because I just hooked it up for testing, without a motor or switch, but also fully attached it will control the shutters when using the switch, but it’s not detected in HA.

I’m wondering if my module is defect (already tried a factory reset) or if it’s because it’s a Roller Shutter 3. I do see other people using that version, so I assume it’s working in Zwave JS with Home Assistant.

Any suggestions or advice to get this working are greatly appreciated.

Hi Bart,

I think the problem was probably related to my Zwave.me UZB stick. When I replaced it with an Aeotec Gen5 Z-Wave USB Z-Stick I could add the Roller Shutter.
Still not convinced the Zwave.me is broken, because it did work with Roller Shutters I already added, it just didn’t allow for new devices to be added.
