Find the peaks

we’re getting a new way of charge for the power distribution the ”last mile” (Ellevio Sweden). Beteen 0600-2200 hours they going to charge me for the average of the top three power peaks.

How shall I catch these three peaks during 0600-2200? from 2200-0600 they only calc half the peaks.

I got a sensor which has the power consumption over time.

I can’t get my head around how to setup a variable in HA to manage this. (Ellevio then takes the average of these three peaks during a month and multiply it with 82SKr to charge me)

Cheers,

There are a few more factors to take into account:

→ Only one peak per day is counted.
→ If you want to calculate the price, Ellevio is using “timmedeleffekt”, which means actual energy consumed during a full hour (i.e. not actual peak power).

This means that if you for example charge your EV using 11kW for an hour (consuming 11 kWh), you’ll get a lower peak if you charge from 22:30 to 23:30 (11 kWh * 30/60 minutes /2 (since after 22:00) equals 2.25 kW peak for two hours), than you would if you charged from 22:00 to 23:00 (11kWh * 60/60 minutes /2 = 5.5 kW peak for one hour).

Screenshot for reference:

I just installed the Daily Sensor custom integration for another purpose but I just realized it can be used as a base for the Ellevio effekttariff if you don’t want to do too much templating.
