Flash Smart Switch

Hi,

I’ve recently picked up home automation, i’ve managed to setup HA on my pi and connect to a few smart devices, I am trying to flash a switch but this would not allow the OTA method using Tuya convert, I would like to use the USB/soldering method, but I am unable to identify which pins to use. following this guide https://youtu.be/BHzsWwd351I?t=3128 (skip to 51:58 for a switch that looks like mine)

My Switch does not look like the standard one, the closest i’ve seen was this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/esp8266/comments/f30s4l/esp8285_board_layout_identification/ but there is no clear instruction on how to proceed with this.

Can any one help please?

Do you know if your switch is supported with Tasmota. The Sonoff Touch configuration is located here:

The Tuya Convert method is supported on these switches:

If you give more details about the switch’s specs, perhaps a picture of the actual PCB, or a link from the location you purchased the switch from etc. - maybe others could help.

Does your pcb looks the same as the last picture in the reddit post you linked?

If so, that are the pin headers you need to use.

Thanks @taylormia for some reason I couldn’t get tuya convert to work for me. perhaps it was a misconfiguration error on my part.

Thanks @parrel, this worked for me. Only thing to note is that the picture was flipped which confused me a little. It appeared as if the ground was the first button from the left, but it was actually the last button when counting from the left. This link shows the buttons in their right positions.

Hi, how did you deal with RX pin connected to other chip. Can it be bypassed somehow without desoldering the pin/breaking path?
