"Fluid" smart water meter

Hi,

First off; new to the forums, so I do apologies if this is the wrong section to post this.

TL; DR: Anyone know if the smart water meter “Fluid” from Fluid Labs inc has been / can be integrated with HA?

I have just had a minor problem that became a major expense. An outdoor pipe burst, and a lot of water flooded a part of my property that we don’t go to very often.
I do of cause want to prevent this from happening again and as I already have some smart home devices connected up to HA, my thoughts immediately went to some new gadget that could help.
So, I went looking and soon found a few possibilities.

  • Flo by Moen seems ok.
Though I already have an electronic valve that seems to take a binary (5V) input to open and close and
also I’d prefer not to have to cut any pipes to install it (expensive as I have to have a certified plumber to
    install it - Danish law)
  • Fluid by Fluid Labs Inc (https://www.fluidwatermeter.com/)
No cutting pipes. Machine learning to meter usage. Has REST API (though I dunno if its public yet).
Seems to have logic output, but if not, this could be automated in HA.

Only question is if there’s already some work done integrating it with HA?

That fluid site seems to be pretty old. Are they still in business? Their thing about “learning” of use patterns doesn’t appeal to me, but an ultrasonic sensor for measuring water use is interesting.

Anyway, if you have a traditional ball valve, they sell actuators which will work with WiFi or Zigbee. I have one on a valve to my outdoor water lines, and it works great. Admittedly it’s a relatively new valve, I don’t think it could turn the ancient main shut-off I have, which requires a lot of muscle to move.

Oh, you’re right. Seems like the last activity was in 2019 - I did not notice the first time around.

I’m not entirely sure, but what I seem to have is some kind of solenoid, and I can give it 5V on a logic port to shut it - or rather ground it (normally closed)
So I can already close the main. What I need is some way of detecting a leak (abnormal water usage) as a bare minimum.
Detecting usage and maybe even categorizing like the Fluid does is optimum.
And a non-intrusive way of measureing would be the best.
