After some period of time having the companion app open, the font size gets smaller. If I force terminate and restart, it goes back to normal. Time before it gets smaller is highly variable. Measuring a large character, in this screenshot, it’s 84 px high when big, 68 when small, so gets about 20% smaller.
I’m using a Pixel 8. Doesn’t happen with any other apps.
Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?
tahts very strange, any custom cards you have installed?
I’ve seen this as well - temp font change across the entire app… Not just the cards. It’s weird…It hasn’t happened in weeks for me. But yes, I have ABSOLUTELY seen this. If I see it again I’ll grab a log.

ill be honest, those changes look subtle and may not be easy to notice. Does it happen only in the dashboard or also in teh companion app settings screen?
Settings… The Whole app. It’s proportional as well like a scaling issue.
Yeah, it’s the entire app. The spacing doesn’t change, but the font size does, it’s pretty obvious to me when it happens because the font is no longer the same size as the system font used everywhere else on my phone.
remember not dashboard settings but specifically
Settings > Companion app and screens under this specific sub menu which are screens that are app controlled.
The rest of the screens are all HA frontend/Webview.

Of course, it happened 3 times in a few hours right before I started this thread, but hasn’t happened again since then. As soon as it happens again & I can get a screen shot of the companion app settings screen, I’ll make a bug report.
