Force lights to use fade

I have some LIDL smart lights that work perfectly with my ZHA hub and HA. The only bad thing about them is that they don’t fade on and off (like philips hue for example). Some lights i only use in automations so i can use the fade option and that works perfect. Some lights are just turned on and off manually (via the interface or google assistant). Is it possible to make like a customization that those lights always use the fade option, so not only in automations or scripts?

Most of the time you can use an automation that triggers on the light on, then set brightness to 1 and then use repeat until it is 255.
But it depends on how fast HA gets the state change so that it doesn’t go full on then down and fade up.
