The forecast solar integration is great for giving a visual prediction. Once configured correctly the result is quite accurate (within 10-20% when looking at the end of the day).
But I would like to get some more useful data out of this. For example “what time of day will the solar output first be above 2kW?” This could be used to plan when to turn on appliances.
The data is all in HA, so presumably it’s some maths based on what’s already there. Has anyone got any automations or template sensors that use Forecast Solar in this way? Or any other ideas on how to do this?
