Tho I’m American i’ve been happy China has been turning up the competitions pushing for further/rapid development in robotics & artificial intelligence, because of them most if not all ai companies offer a free tier of their chatbot after deepseek, this is the competition China brings, their we can do it better and cheaper attitude means good things for us but this week they released another surprise…
GLM 4.7, I assume its to compete with claude (an amazing ai for coding) but the reason im even making this post is its api is so damn cheap and uses a pricing model im not familiar with.

Specifically their free options GLM 4.6 & 4.5 Flash, i dont know if it accepts image inputs but if it does its going in my home assistant somehow lol. I use to rely on Google Geminis free tier api which was wonderful but they nuked it so this looks promising.
