Format/size the new header image

HI,

experimenting the new header/footer options https://www.home-assistant.io/lovelace/header-footer/ Id like to ask if we can format/resize these images?

this is obviously way too big…:

Cant seem to find anything on that in the short docs linked above, nor in the community yet…

nope, I tried it and instantly moved to card mod.

Any news about possibility to adjust size?
And what is the purpose of this functionality? As the picture size is much too big…

Edit your photo to have a more wide screen size or use card mod to adjust the image. There’s no built in way to adjust the size, it always tries to fill the width of the card with the image. So if your aspect ratio is 1 to 1, then you’ll have a tall card with a perfectly square image.

if I will have card mod, then I could change image size in header editor?

Yes you can. I do not know the code.
