Once in a while a new user will ask a question by personal message, and get told to not do that because the forum is public and helping by personal message doesn’t spread the knowledge.

Imagine my surprise to see the forum software recommending the poster use PM:

Can the admins turn this “feature” off?

I’m not sure it can be turned off (though I’ll investigate), but I can certainly set it high enough not to fire in normal threads
