Fresh install hung on Preparing Home Assistant

Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4, USB boot on SSD. Hard wired to router, official power supply. Currently also have monitor and keyboard attached due to this issue.

Version: I believe this is the 64 bit version of 9.0, downloaded just the other day so it should be whatever the latest version is unless a new version has dropped since then.

What I’ve done: I did some googling and based on some advice found in results decided to hook up a display and keyboard. When I enter “supervisor log” I seem to get 4-5 error messages in a wall of otherwise green text. they are as follows (copied by hand, excuse any typos):

ERROR(MainThread) [supervisor.store] Can't retrieve data from https://github.com/esphome/home-assistant-addon due to

ERROR (SyncWorker_1) [supervisor.docker.interface Can't install ghcr.io/home-assistant/aarach64-hassio-supervisor:2022.09.1: 500 Server Error for http*docker://;pca;jpst/v1.41/images/create?tag=2022.09.1&fromImage=ghcr.io%2Fhome-assistant%2Faarch64-hassio-supervisor&platform=linux%2Farm64: Internal server Error ("Get "https://ghcr.op/v2/": net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)")

CRITICAL (MainThread) [supervisor.core] Can't update Supervisor! Thuis will break some Add-ons or affect future versions of Home Assistant!

I also typed in “Network Info” and to my untrained eye it looks ok, but I probably wouldn’t be able to tell a valid IP from an invalid IP. It seems to indicate that it is connected to the internet.

Do you have a pihole or other DNS blocker?

Something is stopping it reaching the internet.

Nope, though pihole is on my to-do list.
