Fresh installation HAOS 15.2 on rpi4

Hi,

I managed to lock myself out. (was to quick and disabled wifi and lan)
I thought the quickest way back in is a fresh install and then install a backup but i it won’t give me any lan or wifi. (haos is installed on a usb ssd)
installing the raspberry pi os does give me lan and wifi
also tried older versions like 12.3 as seaching the internet i’m not the only one with this issue but for now no result.

Any suggestions? (saw somewhere something about updating eeprom? but can’t find it anymore  (i was not eager of doing something like that, so first skipped it)

Thanks!

edit: i’m headless and in no possession of mini hdmi adapter :frowning:

I highly recommend having one - it really helps to get to the CLI.

Can you write HAOS to an SD per these instructions: Raspberry Pi - Home Assistant?

Edit: and don’t restore the backup - that’s what is killing the access if you disabled it.

Hi, disabling LAN & WiFi seems to be stored in your backup.
Was your system running for a long time, I mean a lot of customization’s?

Don’t you have a backup that is from before these network settings?
You could do a fresh install without a restore at onboarding and restore parts of your backup afterwards.

i found the issue, it was a user issue. (i used the wrong build. rpi5 instead of rpi4 :face_with_spiral_eyes:) took me a while to notice that
after that i could restore from the google restore

Not the other way around?

no. i was just wrongly convinced i owned an rpi5 :sob:

So it was just a matter of wishful thinking then!
I took the liberty to change the title.
