Frigate add-on shows remote time when traveling, not local to cameras

Frigate is on a separate machine and the proxy add-on is working fine. When I travel, I need to see the time the events are captured in local time, not what time I’m currently in.

For example, my system is in Germany. I’m currently on holiday 3 hrs difference. My house-sitter comes at 12:30 but the system reports 15:30.

Any ideas?

I’m assuming you’re talking about the events as recorded for the frigate sensor entities in HA. Under your profile (as in your name at the bottom left), check the time zone setting. Is it set to “use server time zone”.

Don’t actually work. Got to be something else.

not sure what you mean by doesn’t work. By default Frigate will use the browser time zone and there is a frigate configuration to change it to always use the server time zone instead.

If you have tried this then a sharing the config would be a good start

Thank you. After looking again at the documentation I think I found it. I put this in and it seems to work.

ui:
timezone: Europe/Berlin

At this time it is only in the config reference Configuration File | Frigate

ui:
  # Optional: Set a timezone to use in the UI (default: use browser local time)
  # timezone: America/Denver
