Frigate and Haos on a Intel Nuc together Best choice

Hello, I bought a new 2TB SSD for my i3 8beh (8GB RAM) and a Coral, I wonder if this works well together with HA OS with Frigate? I have 4 UniFi cameras. I don’t really want to get away from HA OS so I’m asking which way is best to go, I was thinking of replacing the hard drive and running everything on HA. I know about Udev but I don’t really want to do that.

My background is simply to run a device that has to run HA anyway, times are changing, power prices are going up, so installing a second machine just for the frigate is not something I see myself doing.

Or should I rather go to Supervised, only there I wonder how I can do that best Supervised and Frigate together on the Nuc to run. Thanks for your advice

if you’re going to run everything off the single drive then it is fine, but if you want to have frigate recordings on its own drive then you must compromise somewhere. You’ve named all of the potential options and said you don’t like them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My personal recommendation would be to drop HA OS and run things on ubuntu in docker, but there will be plenty of different opinions on what is the best way to go.

Or Proxmox.
That way you would have one HAOS as a VM under Proxmox, and frigate as a docker also under Proxmox, and/or another ubuntu thing running other stuff, and/or various other dockers.
… all within your i3 8BEH NUC.

Just my 2 cents… I personally would explore this if I were you.
