Hope this is the right place to post and that someone can help
Have 2 issues using this card, firstly the documentation mentions “recordings”, my cameras record 24/7 but I see no way of accessing the recordings through the card? I can see clips and snapshots no problem but no way to see full recordings, is there a way to do this?
Secondly the full screen button doesn’t work on my android phone, when pushing the button the screen sorta flickers like it’s trying to go full screen but it doesn’t work. Work’s fine on the laptop on a browser. Is it a setting or something I’ve missed on my phone maybe?
Also trying to get webrtc to work and failing. In frigate the webrtc works perfect, just confused as to how I setup the frigate card to get webrtc to work, guessing I use the webrtc card option on the camera and use a url but no idea what the url is for each camera…
Got it working although at least for me/my use case/for now, using JSMpeg directly seems to work much more reliably and works better so I will stick with it for now and possibly try go2rtc again in the future when the frigate integration etc matures
Also found the timeline and recordings part however for some reason nothing will play if I select it from within the timeline, if I choose something from the clips or screenshot sections no problems at all, go to the timeline and it just brings up a play window that never plays, very frustrating, any ideas?

Just to echo that I have the same issue that I dont get any playback from clicking in the timeline for recordings. I can see its trying to play by hovering in the bottom right hand corner but the video never starts. The recordings are available in the home assistant media player though and through the Frigate UI. I’m not sure whether its because I’m running everything in Beta. If you do ever work out how to fix it then please come back and let me know.
after more test it sees that the issue is not related to the companion app, but it depends on the user. I have 3 different users, only 1 of them can see the card
I am having the same issue. Frigate works fine on the web client and on the Android companion apps on our phones. I added one Android tablet connected via POE running the companion app and the frigate cards display the error in brembry’s post above and the frigate tab in the side bar only displays a blank page. This is true regardless of which account is logged on. Both the Android phones that work and the Android tablet that doesn’t are running version 2023.10.2-full of the companion app. Any help would be appreciated.
Working on desktop but not showing on Android device.
I added custom gallery-card so that I could at least see recent snapshots taken of activity. This was showing the same problem at first but a phone restart resolved the issue. However, the frigate-card is still showing the Custom element doesn’t exist error.
It shows the last picture (which it gets from the entity - I know that because that picture appears even if I remove the motioneye configurations), but doesn’t seem to get anything from the directory.
I only used motioneye because that’s the only thing I found that apparently looked at dirs and files, but I don’t even know what a motioneye is… I’m probably not getting this right at all and I would appreciate any tips. Thanks!
not sure if this is the same behavior, but after updating to 5.2 I can only view my live feeds for about 5 seconds and then the picture/element is gray (no error message). then when I refresh the page it comes back again for few more seconds and repeats.
anyone seen this behavior? I haven’t changed anything and it was working flawlessly until the upgrade.
