Frigate Port 5000 being used

Hi,

I had Frigate running for ages, then this morning after an update to home assistant it would not start. So i decided it was a good time to delete everything and start again with a new frigate.yml

Anyway i can not get it to start i get this error

Logger: homeassistant.components.hassio
Source: components/hassio/websocket_api.py:120
Integration: Home Assistant Supervisor (documentation, issues)
First occurred: 7:15:09 PM (3 occurrences)
Last logged: 7:25:05 PM

Failed to to call /addons/ccab4aaf_frigate-fa/start - Port ‘5000’ is already in use by something else on the host.

If i change the ports to something else it will start and run as expected, however the entities will not come over to home assistant.

I’m running it on HASS OS on an Intel NUC.

Any ideas?

Fixed it, human error lol

very helpfull this answer

did you find a solution? I’ve got the same problem on 2 systems. Port 5000 is in use with my NAS. Upnp is standard using this port.

if you installed as an addon you can change the port by going to settings > addons > frigate > configuration > show disabled ports > web interface (change this to what you want)

you can probably access it via the url http://ccab4aaf-frigate:5000 without conflicts as well
