I have a camera on our front porch, and Frigate detects a person when they step near the porch, but often delivery persons don’t step on to the porch, they just toss the package from the walkway.
Has anyone figured out a way to get Frigate to detect a package?
Looks like you need to shell out for Frigate+ to get package detection, from what I can tell.
On a positive note, the free version comes with support for elephant and zebra detection 
Yes, package is not part of the COCO dataset so you’ll need to get a model that supports it. One example being Frigate+
Some users have had success using suitecase and having packages detected as that. Frigate does support renaming labels so you could try renaming suitcase to package. This won’t be as accurate as a true package label though.
