Frigate setup

Hi everyone,
I am having trouble getting frigate setup. I have a NUC running HAOS and a usb coral tpu. I’ve installed the frigate addon, I have tried a basic frigate config file. I start the addon. No matter what I try (using frigate docs), when I try to open the frigate UI, nothing appears.

I have all reolink cameras (poe doorbell, RLC-520A, RLC-810A) with a reolink nvr. I’d like to use frigate for notifications and keep the nvr as the storage location.

Appreciate your wisdom

I tried the intel standalone config and was able to get the frigate UI to work. Now I just need to work our how to get the reolink nvr to talk with frigate.

What do the frigate logfiles say? Frigate → Settings → System logs

NVRs have RTSP streams that you can use and the ability to restream the cameras

I feel this is backwards however and will delay the streams, the detections and ultimately your ability to react in real time

I would connect cams directly to frigate first then use restream from go2rtc to your NVR if possible
OR
Leave NVR as is and just connect frigate direct to each cams stream.

Ultimately I would use frigate as main source and NVR as secondary backup source

Okay, in case it may help others in the future and in case those who tried to help were curious.

So I figured out the reason the frigate UI would not open. I had used !secret for the mqqt login. Frigate didn’t like this, once I used actual login info and the UI would open. Is there a way to use !secret in frigate config?

Then I had trouble getting streams into frigate from network connected cameras. Double checked firewall rules (different vlans), no issues. Then tried to stream on vlc, this would not work also. I ended up finding that in the camera port settings, the ports were turned off. Once I enabled http, rtsp ports frigate was then able to get stream.

Now just need to work on nvr streams, mqqt, detection.

Thanks,
