Frigate, speed instantaneous in add-on, 10 seconds in frigate card

I’m using HAOS, latest version and the full frigate beta add-on current version and the frigate integration. I’m running on an Intel NUC and have the USB GPU dongle.

I have four cameras. My two newest ones are Tapo and I’m using them with the ONVIF integration due to the recent authentication problems with the HACs Tapo camera control.

When I do the camera streams using the frigate add-on, the view is instantaneous. When I move, the image moves. Yet using the frigate card selecting the same camera, it’s taking about 10 seconds to respond.

I should note that this is not the case with my two Reolink cameras using the Reolink integration.

Where should I start looking? I note that in the card settings, while I add the camera I don’t use any of the engine options, Frigate, gotortc etc. as it has not been necessary with my Reolink cameras.

make sure you are using the go2rtc provider

Can you be a little more specific, what do I fill in on the card and in what section.

My understanding was that with current version of frigate, the gotortc add-on has not required, but I assume you’re talking about those settings on the card.

go2rtc is built in to frigate

yes, you go to the camera and choose the go2rtc provider (or you can use the frigate provider)

I don’t really understand the concept, not quite sure what you mean by provider even though I see it written there. Which is easier, frigate provider or gotortc? Do I make these entries in the camera engine options or the live provider options.
