Are the developers even aware of the bug?

Wondering the same.
Yes the bug persist
2023.2.5 and the issue is still there.
My man, fixes take time. Some bugs may not be fixed immediately. This may be one of those bugs. You’re going to set yourself up for disappointment if you keep assuming that every dot release is going to fix this issue. It took 2 full releases to fix the last round of UI color issues.
Hello Petro, I agree with you completely… as I said earlier if some users had experience some of the other dreadful geeky unstable systems out theer they would appreciate more how slick and smooth and sophisticated HomeAssistant is… AND it is all voluntary work too, so users should try to be more understanding and patient… a FREE system that works so well!! A necessary point you made Petro.
From what I can tell, there is a fix coming for this issue. It may be in a 2023.2 release or it may get pushed to 2023.3. Either way, that means the fix will come between now and march 1st. I.e. within the next 2 weeks.
2023.3.0 Fixed it!
Good thing I just got a bit more comfortable doing docker updates after applying my first one ever a couple of days ago but also nice to see how fast the developers actually react to this complaint
I’m totally in for geeky experiences since I like the challenges… before I started using node red I spent so much time achieving the same things that you can do with a couple of clicks there via scripts but eventually decided this does not make sense anymore yet this convenience is only one perspective… what I really like to see is that while I only run ha core in docker and do the rest in a much more complicated way, spinning up your own nas, dns whatever via HAOS creates a situation where very geeky stuff suddenly become accessible for the masses
Seems like the error with the light card displaying black as “on” color, has been corrected in the 2023.3.0 update
Now my light cards show yellow for “on” again.
Yep but now dimmers and thermostats are a bit broken Lost draggable dot on thermostats · Issue #15662 · home-assistant/frontend · GitHub … hope there will be a 2023.3.1 to address that so we don’t have to wait too long for a update of the stable branch
Yes you are right, the dot is missing on my 8 thermostats on the thermostat page i have.
If you press the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the card, you get a popup that has up/down arrows to adjust temperature until it is fixed though.
Let’s hope the circular dot will come back, looks like that when reading other forums and the 3 dots menu that is a good addition isn’t the only way to control.
The just fixed it! Just pulled the 2023.3.1 stable and on top of all new improvements we have yellow light icons and draggable dots on dimmers and thermostats again
I agree
Now back to yellow as “on” and heating and light sliders working again.
Dear All,
I have the latest available core version (2023.11.0) and since 2023.10.4 i have the same issue as stated in the first post.
I have tried sever things to modify the color from this gray-ish to amber or red, but couldn’t do it.
Any idea why not?
Thank you in advance.
Hi @Janaboy ,
I upgraded yesterday to 2023.11.0 and it is working like it should for me (and have done all the time since they fixed it).
