Not really sure how to phrase the subject. I have a dashboard on an old Fire tablet, running Fully Kiosk. The start url is just my internal IP (not running the HA app). I’m using an mmWave sensor to turn it on/ off (if no one is in the room, it turns off). I have the tablet set to dark mode, but whenever the screen turns on for the first second or so, I see a bright white background with the HA logo.
All of the settings that I thought would control this have been turned off:
The setting change I mentioned didn’t really seem to have an actual effect. It worked when I tested it, just by flipping the screen off/on in Fully, but in practice, if I leave the room and then trigger the mmWave sensor (which sends switch.turn_on for the screen), I see the flashing white screen. I’m guessing there’s some sort of time that causes it to reload.
Check if you have “Suspend background connections” switched on. To get to the setting, Click on your profile picture in the bottom left of the HA dashboard, then scroll down to the Browser setting at the bottom. Note that you will need to enable Advanced Mode to see the setting.
