Furnace activating too much - GC-TBZ48

I have the Z-wave GC-TBZ48 thermostat. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I’ve had it set to a temp. As soon as its NOT that temp it kicks the furnace on. Which is about every hour. Then the furnace is on for about 15 minutes and repeats. I would like to have it set with a upper limit and lower limit. I attempted to change the values for entity:
climate.linear_nortek_security_control_llc_gc_tbz48_battery_powered_z_wave_thermostat_mode

to

target_temp_high: 67
target_temp_low: 62

but it keeps getting reset to

target_temp_high: null
target_temp_low: null

I am confused.
Thanks for your help!

There should be a parameter to set how often the thermostat will allow to cycle.

I have a GC-TBZ48, you can configure the 8: Minimum Off Time and 9: Minimum Run Time node configuration values to keep the thermostat from cycling as often.

Page 17 of the manual outlines the values and the effects of the configuration options.

These options are configurable from the thermostat as well.

All that being said… What ZWave integration are you using?

I think you are asking if I am using OpenZwave vs Zwave. I am using the Zwave integration. With a ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5

How do I go about configuring the features on page 17?

Configuration -> Integrations -> Zwave -> Configure

Then…

Find the Node and then the Node Configuration Options section should show up where you can modify these values.
