CONNECT TO HOME ASSISTANT ESPHOME
Anyone who owns these smoke detectors in Australia, they are getting close to their life extectancy of the lithium backups. I have pulled one apart and am in the process of connecting to ESPHOME with esp32. I am replacing the Lithium batteries with a single Lithium Non chargable 9VDC.
I am powering the unit via POEAF module no more mains voltage. Iam using a WT32-ETH01 to run it. The unit will be ethernet (wifi failover) if it fits in memory.
The unit will suport
* remote alrm state
* remote hush trigger
* remote test
will post finished result. Hope this info helps someone else who may want to walk this path.
Test the sensor most manufacturers will say the sensor goes bad at 5-10 years also.
