Garage door cover device help pls

Hi Guys

I have created a automation that makes a announcement that the garage door is open. The part of the announcement that the door is closed and makes the announcement BUT the part of announcement that door is open does not work.
The reason it does not work because the device responds with OPEN and not OPENED ? In the automation when I try select Open, its not available only OPENED.

How can I get the device to report as OPENED and not OPEN or get the automation setup to have OPEN as one of the options to to select OPEN in the automation ?

fixing the automation is the way to go, not changing the device.
