Garage Door Opener with Local Control?

No native opener open/close status, no obstruction status, no light control, no wall console motion detector status, no remote lockout control.

and if someone doesn’t need/want any of that then the point still stands.

I’m a bit lost here too. I have the GDO-4 EasyRoller®
ROLL UP GARAGE DOOR OPENER.
I explored at esp32 and soldering my existing clicker onto an esp32 but all that’s a bit too difficult and I’m not at that level yet.

So I landed meross garage door opener being a likely good solution, ratgdo or even Shelly but then I’m not sure where to plug the two wires in?? I need help!

Ratgdo with LM/Chamberlain gives the best local experience by far, but the community consensus is no one should buy LM/Chamberlain due to the way they have blocked access.

Chamberlain has a history of such behavior. They viewed that you can only use remotes from them and sued companies that made compatible remotes:

They have abused their customers for decades. MyQ which should be named TheirQ is just another example of them hurting their customers so they can make more money. They have also sued other companies for patent infringement in more recent times.
