GarageQTPi install on non-pi install of HA

Hi all

I’m running my HA install on a linux server (OMV / Debian), with hass.io (so it’s basically a bunch of docker instances: HA, hass.io, mosquito, configurator…).

I’d like to use a separate Raspberry Pi Zero W as a garage door sensor and controller (similar to the rpi_gpio methods). The GarageQTPi (https://github.com/Jerrkawz/GarageQTPi) looks like exactly what I need (and I already have MQTT set fr some other controls).

However, the install instructions for GarageQTPi seem quick specific to a “normal” Pi based HA install. Any ideas how to get it available on my HA instance?

It looks like they are just running Raspbian Lite with Python 2. You should be able to use NOOBS Lite to put that on your SD Card.

Thanks… I may have misunderstood the GarageQTPi instructions…

I was thinking the git install was to go onto my HA install… seems its if for the remote Pi…

That I can do!
