GE ZWave Plug-in Outlets - Not considered switches - Can't toggle

Hello Automators,

Thanks for any assistance here! I’ve configured HASS on a RP3, system works perfectly, have various in-wall light toggle switches from GE and made sure to only grab Zwave plus.

Today I got 2 “plug in” ZE Switches. They are:

When I pair both to my Aeotec 5 ZWave controller, they pair perfectly, and when I rebooted HASS they appear on the entity list…but not as switches

How do I get the 2 plug in outlets to function as switches so they can be toggled? Adding zwave. to a front end group only shows it as “Ready” instead of giving it a toggle option. I double checked, and both switches are compatible in the OCZ list.

Not sure what I’ve done wrong, any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I had no issues pairing and using mine. It appeared as a switch in HA. I would exclude it and re include it.

Thanks!!

What’s the best practice to exclude and re-include?

EDIT: removed my zwave aeotec stick, put it in unpair mode, removed both plug-in switches. Rebooted and confirmed they were gone, then paired back 1 plug-in switch and rebooted again. IT WORKED!! Thanks

Yeah, they can be finicky sometimes.
