I’ve been using HA for about a year now, but I don’t think I’ve organised the dashboard the most optimal way and I keep movings things around between dashboards and views.
I use HA from my desktop, my phone, but I also have a couple of old phones that I only use as terminals in certain rooms. I also just installed HA on my parents phones, for some very limited use.
Due to all these scenarios I want to restrict the views in certain devices or users and I happy to make a view or dashboard for each case. So I want to see everything from my phone and desktop, but for one of the terminals and my parent’s phone I want only one specific view visible, ideally without the sidebar or top menu.
Seems like Kiosk is a good option for disabling the sidebar and top menu, but it only works on the entire dashboard not views. But then it’s only views that give you an option to be visible to certain users.
What’s the best way to go about it? How do you usually restrict certain users or devices?
