Generic camera unreliable at best

It seems like each integration that attempts to work with rtsp cameras, goes about pinging them a little differently. Some retry way too much and some not enough.
I’m sure they work great with the camera or cameras that they are tested on… But it seems like the responsiveness of each brand camera really needs a way to tune into it’s own brand.

Wondering if the Generic Camera Integration can add a way to tune it’s self to a given brand rtsp camera?
I’m not lucky enough to have the camera that the Generic camera integration was tuned to.
Wyze cams flashed with rtsp work horribly with the Generic camera integration, and I’ve tried the other hacs versions, only to come back to the built in one working the best. But works sometimes. Which it not good.

Any suggestion?

I struggled for months with inconsistent performance with the generic camera integration and my ip cameras that I use to monitor the doors of our house. I finally set up Agent DVR on a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB (I also run Pihole as well as Open VPN server on that machine). I then installed the Agent DVR Integration and have had trouble-free operation for months now.

Not sure if that is an option for you but Agent DVR supports a lot of cameras and manufactures.
