Would it be possible to integrate an additional entity for the Generic Hygrostat dehumidifier so that the plug socket is only switched off when the current power is low (adjustable value). This is intended to protect the compressor.

This integration is not monitoring when the power is low, or what you define as a low power situation. (Could be anything really, low voltage, low sun, the water turbine at low flow, generator low on gas, etc…)
You should be running a separate automation that triggers on what ever you consider a power low condition and just turn the device off there.
