Generic Linux Hassio - Prep for HA reinstall without Base OS re-install

First off, forgive my basic understanding of things… I am willing to learn.

So, I’m using a old Optiplex 780 (C2Duo, 4GB Ram, 128 ssd) as a generic Hassio build. However, during a backup restore, I managed to screw up the docker containers where things would not start. Since I wasn’t far into things, I was thinking I could just remove all the docker containers and just re-run the install script and put it back to where I could start again. No suck luck.

I’m just wondering what I need to do to get back to a point where I can re-install HA. Is there a cmd option I can give hassio-supervisor to re-create a new HA container? I would rather not re-install the OS since I thought everything was in docker containers, but I will if I need to.

I suppose I could run a Libvert install but this is going to be the only thing on this server.

As an aside, I would love to run this on my VMware ESXi server but since I use Z-wave I need to have the Zwave stick centrally located. I tried ser2net and socat as well as usbip and neither were stable enough for me to leave.

Thank you in advance for the help.
