Generic thermostat and virtual toggle device

I want to use the generic thermostat. but don’t want directly use the heater as target device.
I tried to use a input boolean but that does not work

anyone know how to make a virtual toggle device?

You could use a command line switch,

the swtich does not stay on and also the thermostat does not accept this.

Not sure if this helps at all, but I coded an eco-bee style thermostat to receive input from a couple motion/temp sensors and output commands to an air conditioner unit. You could add heater functionality (I’ll be adding this as soon as I purchase some IR space heaters for my apartment).
