Generic thermostat installation

How to add generic thermostat, or Dual Mode Generic Thermostat to HASSIO. GIthub pooling does not work in my case and cannot add it through community addons option.
Am I doing something wrong or any hint.

a output from log :
19-12-27 16:26:34 INFO (MainThread) [hassio.store.git] Clone add-on https://github.com/zacs/ha-dualmodegeneric repository
19-12-27 16:26:36 ERROR (MainThread) [hassio.utils.json] Can’t read json from /data/addons/git/fb5abc43/repository.json: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: ‘/data/addons/git/fb5abc43/repository.json’

It’s not an addon, it’s a custom component. Follow the directions here for how to add the dual mode generic thermostat: https://github.com/zacs/ha-dualmodegeneric

Sorry for my “ignorance”, but is there any “howto” to do it propperly.
I have followed instructions, and that was an output

Then you didn’t follow the directions correctly. Take a look again, the how-to is on that page: https://github.com/zacs/ha-dualmodegeneric#home-assistant---dual-mode-generic-thermostat

If you don’t have HACs already installed, following the instructions for the HACs installation method is pointless.

Yeah, those instructions are for HACS, not the add-on store. There’s a link in that section showing how to install HACS. Although it’s broken, so: https://hacs.xyz/docs/installation/manual

HACS is optional though. You can use the second method if you don’t want to install HACS (but HACS does make it easier to update custom components).

I did it manually, but, (to my understanding), I should have installed a generic thermostat :

from link above, but cannot have it installed.
Or,
If I have it already activated in my system, how to reach to it.
I am relatively new to HASSIO and still trying to understand how to do certain things in.
Have succefuly integrated lightning into, have some thermometers, (xiaomi multisensor), some on/off switches are on my way. However, I need to understand how this part works, (heating), and how to get tab in lovlace

Well do you want to install the official generic thermostat integration, or the dual mode generic thermostat custom component? Here’s how to install the official integration: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/generic_thermostat/

Here is tricky part, first I was looking for any solution, then I found that dual mode.
However, first thing first, I need to make anything of that area working, (btw, thank for the link in previous comment as that was exactly what I was looking for in first attempt), after which i will make any changes I may need.

Sorry, but what do you actually want to do ?
Is it just to turn a heater on and off ?
If so, the standard generic thermostat is all you need.

It is just my attempt to, for now yes, turn heater on or off, (simple dumb electric heater).
Now, I am struggling to have this HACS integrated, (bit by bit, I will do it).
After this, more intelligent system will emerge when I have this work placed and rootined.

You don’t need the custom component if you’re just turning a heater on and off (or AC on and off). You can just use the regular integration.

I understand that, and I had several ways how to do it, (and, even through regular integrations), what was driving me was placing an thermostat icon onto one of UI-s, and being able to control heating through same UI, and after that to evolve this to have more complex variants of HVAC that I am installing into my house. (another doubt was about brand and most reliable system, that is most critical part, as I live in apt where I have limited options available, (most likely choice will to to heat pump with some fancoils in apt), but I need to know is this proper way to control it, or I should go some other way. So HASSIO is now running on my PI board and I am learning step by step all about it, ie. how to integrate some ZHA devices, how to play with phoscan stick, how to control some other aspects as well.
After some research, I found HASSIO very good platform to play with, (I have integrated HomeHabit with, and Domoticz as well so I am doing parallel investigation on usability of all three), but so far HA has most potential of all.
Also, if succesful I may make a personal blog/vlog with idea how to make all this closer to more people.
These are reasons for my interest in all.
