I’m integrating my AC and heat (or at least trying to) into home assistant. My current setup is a raspberrypi with a bank of relays along with a temperature (DHT11) sensor all controlled/communicating over MQTT. The AC, heat, and fan are all added successfully to HA as switches and I can manually control them. The temperature sensor is also reporting successfully to HA and I am getting live readings.
I looked through the generic thermostat and it doesn’t seem to have a support for adding AC, heat, and fan as arguments. Any advice? I noticed that I could add them all through the MQTT HVAC but it seemed sticky with my current setup.
Any pointers would be great!
