I “installed” the fixed python files onto my Home Assistant running 2022.2.3 and I can confirm it fixes the integration. Garage Door entity working now (It created a new entity with _2 at the end, so I had to delete the old one and rename the new one).
These fixed python files will get overwritten every time I upgrade HA, which is a pain, so hopefully this gets integrated with HA soon.
This works for me now after it stopped working. Went into the docker core container to edit files but saw that API was already pointed to the AWS URL. Commented out “Cover” in configuration.yaml, rebooted, uncommented out “Cover”, rebooted and now it’s working.
I was unable to get this working and used the work around, where I created a smart things account and “integrated” Aladdin with my smart things app on my phone, and then integrated smart things into HA. I did not need a hub to do this either!
I updated to the latest release 2022.3.1, commented out cover, rebooted, and uncommented cover and rebooted again. The garage doors are still unavailable. Were you using the smartthings workaround or direct integration?
Excellent, everything is working now: commented out cover, rebooted, search for cover entities, and removed all garage entities. Uncomented cover settings, and rebooted again. Thank you.
Understand this is an older thread, but could not find a more appropriate place to post.
Running HA on VM Windows 11 laptop:

I have been using Aladdin Connect with HA and Alexa successfully for about a year. I am pleased and it works well. My question may be better suited for an Alexa forum, not sure.
Would like to know how the Alexa skill can be modified. When I say, “Alexa open garage”. It goes through a whole routine asking for my Aladdin Connect password (which I have no problem with) then the opener beeps and flashes a few times then opens. Problem is in my Alexa routines there is no routine for “Open garage door”. Just wondering if anyone had insight to this…
So with the API changing tomorrow, has anyone been able to find out if we can still operate the cover via SmartThings after the update? I was using the Aladdin integration and it woks well, but the open/closed status seems to lag quite a bit compared to SmartThings. I know Genie is supposed to be working on a new official integration, but I don’t want to update my app until that happens or unless I know that SmartThings will still work.
