I had a Nest thermostat in my apartment and it worked great with Home Assistant.
However, I just bought a house with a Bryant Evolution system which uses a communicating thermostat, so my Nest has been rendered useless and my Bryant system doesn’t even have WiFi.
I was looking into upgraded Bryant thermostats (Bryant Housewise) since they seem to be the only thing on the planet compatible with their protocol, but it doesn’t look like Home Assistant has any integrations. However, these units do have Google Home and Alexa compatibility.
Is there any way to get any sort of integration between Bryant and Home Assistant?
List of some things I would like to do:
- I may get a PCO system that would only need to be turned on when the fan is running.
- I would need to know when the fan is running to monitor my filter restriction.
- Better home/away integration since I would have all my other sensors.
- Turn on a small fan by the drain-pan drain to prevent pooling of water.
- General temperature/humidity monitoring.
- General thermostat control on home assistant if possible.
