I have an Ikea Tradfri LED strip controller that randomly turns on. Upon investigation it appears the device randomly drops connection and then reconnects on its own, but every time it reconnects it turns the light on. I’m controlling it with the Ikea wireless button, which seems to be working just fine. Signal strength is not an issue for either the light controller or button.
What I’m trying to do as a workaround is to get HA to poll the state of the light controller, then check to see if the button has been pressed in the last X minutes. If it has not been commanded on with the button recently then HA will turn it off. An alternative is if the light has not been commanded on by the button then turn it off. Anyone got any tips on how to go about this?
