I created a project I’d like to share so others can use it too. I would like to “host” it on either Gitlab or Github. I tried to register with Github but found out that they will not accept my Protonmail alias. I will not share my personal e-mail address. So I would have to create another Protonmail address. It’s also owned by Microsoft these days which I kind of do not like.
On the other hand, I think Github has a lot more users. And it would be nice that if people have cool additions they can send merge requests. Or post issues or discussions. I don’t know what the consequences could be in this regard if I were to choose Gitlab. So I wonder if anyone can tell me something usefull about that?
