GivTCP Battery SOC Automation

I wish to create an automation to change / check that my GivEnergy Battery SOC (GivTCP) is set at a particular level every day because on several occasions I’ve found it appears to randomly change.
I’ve tried several automation configurations but without success. I want to set the entity “number.givtcp_target_soc” to 55% every 24 hours

Hi Graham,

Have you been able to get “Target SoC” control for “Enable AC Charge Upper % Limit” to work?
Using either the GivTCP Addon (Ver 2.1.2) or the GivEnergy Remote Control Web Access results in it always charging to 100% whatever the display shows/set to?

Regards, Martin

I’ve currenty got it disabled as I’m not on an overnight tariff and the daylight hours are getting longer. What I have been doing lately if I change any settings is to check that the settings in the GivTCP addon and web portal match then restart the inverter via the web portal and restart Home Assistant. I’m sorry I’m not really answering your question but this is helping me achieve the settings I want. I did come across a video today done by Speak To The Geek on YouTube GivEnergy Battery Automation for Demand Flexibility Service (DFS) Octopus Saving Sessions - YouTube where he sets up an automation in HA for GivTCP which I might try tomorrow (currently at work)
