Glance cards in lovelace UI do not auto-group nicely into columns?

Hello,

I am trying to setup an overview view in HA using lovelace UI. I am using a couple of glance cards to see the status of the “living room” and “kitchen”. If I use the entities cards then everything works fine. Two columns are used when browsing with a desktop computer and single when browsing with a mobile. However, using glance cards only one column is shown both in desktop and mobile browsing leaving a lot of white space. Is this a bug or intended behaviour of glance cards?

Hi,

Don’t know if you figured this out but I’ve noticed the same issues with my setup. After trying a couple of different UI configurations my guess would be that HA and Lovelace UI is calculating the amount of colums by looking at how many cards that are available and the total height of them.

Yes, I think you’re right, my work-around has been to add another glance card to the view (so 3 in total) and now two columns are used. :slight_smile:
