Glances installation - how?

I have tried to follow the Glance installation instructions but there are missing information in the info page.
I get presented with the following screen:

Host: is this my local HA machine or the machine I want to monitor?
User name and password: obviously dependent on the host - local HA machine or the machine I want to monitor.
Glances API version 2 or 3: Not sure about this either. No info that I can find.
Uses SSL certificate Yes or No: Again, dependent on the host - local HA machine or the machine I want to monitor.
Verify SSL certificate: Not sure about this either. No info that I can find.

Glances - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io)

I apologise if I seem frustrated. It is because I come across this situation often where the documentation is very limited and it is assumed that one should ‘just know’ this stuff.

Please help a poor lost individual, again apologies in advance for my frustrated tone.

The Glances integration allows you to connect to an already installed Glances instance. The Glances add-on can be installed to run an instance of Glances on your HA machine. Then you would configure the integration to point to the add-on. You should only need to enter username and password - if localhost doesn’t work, put in the IP address of HA.

Thank you so much, got it going (I think).

hi, running into this issue. What did you enter?

To be honest, I could not tell you. I ended up not using it.

Sorry…

Hah! No worries. It was the wrong port for me. Looked at the addon logs and found the port was different to what this card shows by default
