I am looking for a smart lock for my glass sliding door. wifi, zigbee, zwave I got em all.
What are you folks using?
If I would need this, I think I would go for a DIY way. Any smart switch combined with a door electromagnet.

That is pretty interesting of an idea. How would I provide unlockability from outside? In my head I had envisioned something more like you basic Yale smart lock with a touch pad on the outside and a key backup should the thing fail.

My first idea will still work, but would be a lot of DIY.

Also looking for any advice on this topic. Wondering if anyone has tried this sliding door lock product, and ideally if there is a possibility of getting it to work with localTuya or Tuya-local…

I think those are not for glass door. Or it demands a frame in the door. Have you tried it? And another problem on those options is that they are not zigbee… Tuya local integration does not recognize locks… It’s a problem.
