Hello all,
I have three Gledopto GL-C-009P LED dimmer controllers set up in my Zigbee network. They’re all connected to a SkyConnect, along with my other Zigbee devices.
I wasn’t aware that the GL-C-009P also acts as a router, which in a way is good and bad; good since it helps extend my network further down my house, but bad because it seems end devices that aren’t supposed to route through it are doing so, resulting in a bad signal route.
Case in point, in my network topography shown in the attached picture, my eWelink office motion sensor is linking to the GL-C-009P kitchenstrip1, which is further away from it than my coordinator is. The same goes for the Lumi Powderroom motion sensor; while it’s slightly close to the kitchenstrip1 router, it probably will have better connectivity going directly to the coordinator.
So I have a few questions:
-
Is there any way to force an end device to connect to either a different router or directly to the coordinator? For example, forcing the office sensor to connect directly to my coordinator.
-
Any way to disable the router function on a Zigbee device and make it just an end device? For example, Kitchenstrip1 and Kitchenstrip2 are practically side by side and I might not need both to be a router.

Indirectly related to this topic, but is there a way to “reboot” a problematic Zigbee device through ZHA without having to pull out the battery from the said device? For example, the Lumi powderroom motion sensor has recently become finicky and wouldn’t trigger reliably. The same goes for the entry motion sensor before it went offline. The problem with them is they’re situated high up on the ceiling and it’s extremely bothersome to pull them off whenever they act up. Would be great if there is a way to send a “restart” instruction that is similar to when you pull out the battery from a device and wait for several seconds.
Thank you in advance.
