GLEDOPTO Zigbee 5 in 1 LED Controller: Configure 5 separate dimmer channels in Home Assistant

Hi everyone,

I bought a GLEDOPTO Zigbee 5 in 1 LED Controller. As far as I understand the product offers a mode in which it can control 5 different single color LED strips. However, after I configured it in the corresponding mode (“red”) and paired it with Home Assistant I only find one dimmer entity for that zigbee device.

Does anyone own that controller and configured the multiple dimmer mode as well and can walk me through de setup?

Than you so much in advance,
Michael

Hi Micha, welcome to the forum!

If you are talking about the Gledopto GL-C-001P Zigbee 5 in 1 Smart LED controller, it seems to me that it’ suited for 5 different scenario’s

As standard, the GLEDOPTO controls the 5 light strips at the same time, like in the “Dimmer” mode in the image. However, you can in theory connect five different light strips (with a common +, and individual -) using the RGBCCT mode. It is somewhat useful for scenes, but it does not work very well for live changes, since the effect of the color wheel and the color temperature controls on the LED strips is hard to understand and predict. In practice, three strips using the RGB mode should work reasonably well, although still somewhat confusing.

I’ve got one too, and I’m running it in RGBWW mode on an RGBCCT strip.

GLEDOPTO ZigBee 3.0 Pro+ 5-in-1/3-in-1 LED Controller, 20A Max, RGBCT/RGBW/RGB/CTC/Dimmer

When I switch it to dimmer mode, the strip actually uses all the LEDs—RGB for white, plus cold white and warm white—and it gets really bright. The amperage then almost matches what the seller claimed (1A/m @ 24V).

However, I haven’t been able to get Home Assistant via ZHA to do the same in RGBWW mode.

It either uses a mix of cold white and warm white, or a mix of RGB, but I haven’t found a working way to use both at the same time.

Any sorts of hints woudl be apreciated.

I know this thread are old, but I want to control 5 different led and use the controller in “Dimmer” mode. I can get the controller to change color in RGB mode, but I don’t know how to control the settings in “Dimmer” mode. Can anyone help me how to do that ?

Did you ever figure it out? I’m thinking to buy this controller to control 5 different LED strips in dimmer mode, but nobody is ever mentioning if I can control them INDEPENDENTLY.

Exactly my problem. I bought 3 of them, planned to use them in in cct mode, 2 ch per dimmer, but if i cant control them individually they are kind of useless

i have extensive issues with dropped connections with these gLEDopto controllers…

none of my IKEA Tradfri Lights has any issues, sometimes right next to the gLEDopto controller. Im runing of a sonof ZigBee Dongle, and nous sockets and ikea tradfree are worry free reliable.

But I do have issues with the newer IKEA bulbs and the chinese stuff.

maybe go for an other product…
