I recently bought a new home and have made the jump to z-wave everything because, why not.
I have a GD00Z-8-GC wired up working great with my dummy garage door opener.
Initially, I was using a Hubitat C-8 Pro as my z-wave hub, but figured at $200, switching to a Zooz ZST39 LR usb would be a more economically sound decision. The house isn’t huge, so there’s no need for a overkill with a Hubitat, although it was a really nice piece of hardware.
I’ve successfully switched my zwave device over to the ZST39 and am using ZWave JS UI in HA and everything is working as expected.
I have noticed that when I open the garage door via Home Assistant, there is a 30-60 seconds delay in reporting of the door status (open/closed) after operation.
FWIW I did not experience these delays with Hubitat, and I also had a separate entity for door open/closed state that I don’t see now with this method.
Any ideas here on where to look, what to check, what logs I can provide?
