I just finished developing a bluetooth integration for Godox bluetooth mesh-based lights, and would like some help testing. Mainly models with battery, RGB, XY mode. Currently tested on my own SL60IIBi and SL200IIIBi.
Installation is through HACS, but you can also just copy the custom_components folder as well.
Testing instructions
Setup
- One light first, added and working, before provisioning more.
- Record: the model name and radioId exactly as the picker shows it (e.g. “SL200IIIBi (003F)”), the HA version, and whether you connect through an ESP32 Bluetooth proxy or a built-in/USB adapter.
- Turn on “Show the light’s actual state” and “Include colour temperature” (readback)
- Enable debug logging for the integration
Things that need testing
- Color, if your light does it. RGB / RGBW / RGBWW channels, hue+saturation, and for color-meter models, CIE xy. Set a color, confirm the light matches and the value sticks. Report anything off (hue shifted, a channel wrong, brightness jumping).
- The panel-change readback test (the single most valuable one). With readback on, change brightness and color temperature on the light’s own physical dial/panel, and watch HA:
- Brightness should track (verified on two lights — confirm on yours).
- Color temperature didn’t work on my SL200IIIBi. If HA shows the wrong CCT after a dial change, turn off “Include colour temperature” and let me know
- Wide color-temperature/brightness range. Some models that go 1800-10000 K. Please confirm the extremes work
- Battery percentage on a battery light. Only a mains light (constant 100 %) has been read; so far, unconfirmed that a real battery light the battery percentage
- Effects and speed. Do the named effects match what the light does, and does the effect-speed slider change anything?
Per-model controls
- Did the model auto-detect correctly (picker pre-filled)? (If this doesn’t work, try to get it to pairing first, then restart HA. Otherwise, this isn’t important)
- On/off, brightness, colour temperature — or brightness-only on a fixed-daylight model with no colour slider.
- Any extra controls that appear for your model do what they say: fan speed, output mode, mains frequency, dimming smoothness, gel/color-chip, accessory recognition, green/magenta tint.
- Any missing controls
Reliability / multi-light (if you have)
- Provision a second light onto the same mesh; control both.
- Failover: power off the light HA first connected to, and wait 10-30s. The second light should still be controllable
- Availability: power a light off; with readback on it should go “unavailable” after ~30s (3 missed polls at the default 10s), and recover when it’s back.
- Discovery: a light you’ve already added should not reappear under “Discovered”.

- Model, HA version, adapter/proxy type.
- Specifically what worked and what didn’t
- Debug log for anything that failed.
- The panel-change readback works/doesn’t work for brightness/CCT/battery
